These are the lines on your face
When you fall asleep on your sleeve
Not noticing where your head lay
(no one is likely to if you don’t)
As your last thought buzzed white
And everything went numb
Because your mind ran so much slower
(under the influence or not)
in the throws of a withdrawal
that never stops, but for sleep
putting these lines on your face
